Sonia Segui has been in healthcare for more than two decades. Her experience includes, helping patients at a level one trauma center in Tampa, Florida, Neurology, Orthopedics, Cardiology with focus in Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Neurology and Trauma ICU. It was in the ICU she realized the dire need for accessible quality driven care. One which proactively focuses on disease prevention and health promotion. She pursued a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida and graduated with honors in 2016. Within a few months she sat and became board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Mrs. Segui has a passion for preventative care and disease management. She is also a strong believer that all people deserve access to quality healthcare. For this reason, she spent much of her beginning years as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse caring for the underserved and indigent population. Here she provided care for acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages. Though she truly loved caring for people she quickly grew tired of the traditional brick and mortar restrictions and cooperate productivity driven model. Beacon Primary Care was founded on the principals of quality driven care emphasizing a proactive approach to disease prevention, management, and health promotion. Sonia Maria Segui strives to provide a patient centered approach to care. Her goal is to promote optimal health outcomes throughout chronic disease progression and establish a collaborative relationship with each patient and family.
